Fascinating Gershwin
Monday, October 20, 2008, Corn Palace 7:30 PM
The year is 1931, the place is Times Square - the heart of the theatre district - and the mob owns Broadway. They've already chosen their star, so the auditions for the big Gerschwin production are a sham... Until in walks Melody Starr. The producers pitch every imaginable curve ball to the curvaceous cutie, who wows them as violinist, soprano, pianist, dancer, actor and more. Janice Martin stars in this high voltage ride through the works of the Gershwins.

The Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra
Monday, May 11, 2009, Corn Palace 7:30 PM
After its birth in 1934, the Dorsey Brothers Orchestra began a strong rising presence in the U.S. An unfortunate argument between the brothers separated them and Jimmy became the leader. The band scored many hits, and now under new leadership of Bill Tole the orchestra continues to impress audiences. Tole's sweet smooth, sentimental style takes the audience from the 40's to the present day. The orchestra is complimented by the vocal ease of nancy Knorr.
